Join us for our First Annual Forum on Strategic Fundraising, a two-day regional conference that will be the most intensive and comprehensive training event ever offered in the Pacific Northwest specifically for nonprofit fundraisers. Whether you’re new to fundraising or an experienced major gift officer, a board member or chief development officer, a communications manager or executive director – you will grow your fundraising acumen during two invigorating days of active learning, deep discussions and inspired networking.

The Forum will be our only major professional development event of the year, blending the most in-depth and intensive events in our history: our Symposium on Major Gifts and Winter and Spring Conferences.

Here’s what to expect:

Pre-Forum Happy Hour! Whether you’re joining us for the entire Forum or just one day, come out and party with your brilliant colleagues at our no-host happy hour at Optimism Brewing Company the night before the Forum begins. Stay tuned for more details …

LEADERSHIP SUMMIT - Learn about the findings in Money for Good 2015, groundbreaking research funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which sheds more light than ever before on the giving behaviors and attitudes of donors. Study author Hope Neighbor of the Camber Collective will reveal the thinking and motivation of donors most eager to give more, along with strategies to focus your time and resources to inspire them to do so. Find out why this research has the philanthropy world buzzing and exploring what it will take to move the big needle on charitable giving.

MAJOR GIVING MASTER CLASS — Ready to roll up your sleeves and engage donors powerfully and authentically? Back by popular demand after our 2015 Symposium on Major Gifts, Richard Perry and Jeff Schreifels of the Veritus Group, authors of It’s Not Just About the Money: How to Build Authentic Major Donor Relationships and the award-winning Passionate Giving blog, will share proven strategies for analyzing donor data in ways that reveal untapped fundraising potential. They’ll walk us step by step through major gift fundraising techniques that generate outstanding results consistently. Choose from a Master Class for small nonprofits and one for larger organizations. Either way, you’ll gain valuable new skills and walk away with an action plan to raise more money for your organization.

Karen Osborne — an internationally acclaimed consultant, executive coach and thought leader who helps nonprofits all over the world raise more money — will inspire us with opening words of wisdom about the art of influencing, creating alliances and connecting to connectors. And she’ll close the Forum by challenging us to make the time to take action on lessons learned when we get back to the office.

Choose from 20 training sessions in five tracks for professionals of all levels and organizations of every size, from actionable prospect research and the hallmarks of high-performing events to using your development plan to engage your board and the art and science of retaining digital donors.
