Program Description:

Event Audience development is an opportunity to collaborate with your donors and volunteers in a meaningful way, fostering effective ambassadors for your event and organization.

This session will focus how to get to know your audiences, galvanize your volunteers, and craft enticing messaging to attract and retain your network.

In this session, you will learn: 

• Identify audiences: How to use metrics that help track your communities and inform your engagement strategies.
• Mobilize your committee: Tactics for making committee work fun and effective.
• Creative marketing and storytelling: Tools for tailoring your messaging to inspire both new attendees and seasoned event-goers.

Speaker:
Talia Silveri Wright, Consultant, The Ostara Group

For the past ten years, Talia has served as an ambassador for nonprofits and arts organizations, conceptualizing fundraising and large-scale public events, and providing development and marketing support. Since earning her MA in Arts Management from the University of Buffalo, Talia has raised over $5M through fundraising events for nonprofit arts organizations and enhanced digital communications for the organizations she serves. As Events Manager for Pilchuck Glass School, she achieved their highest grossing auction of all time ($1.7M). Talia is dedicated to exploring new fundraising models that appeal to the next generation of philanthropists, attracting new audiences, and instilling a culture of philanthropy in our nonprofit community. Her past clients include Habitat for Humanity King County, The 30/30 Project, Volunteers of America-Western Washington, Sound Generations, Museum of History and Industry (MOHAI).
