After decades of research and seminal reports like last year's UnderDeveloped, we know what inspires transformational major gifts: An environment that values and supports big visions of impact, authentic donor engagement, proof of results (and honesty with failures), unwavering leadership, and alignment between an organization's mission, programs, financing, and fundraising.

And, yet, great examples of this environment for major gifts are all too hard to find. We believe that the Northwest can be a national leader in inspiring every nonprofit organization to embrace a transformational view of fundraising. It's time to stop doing what doesn't work and start systematically doing what does work.

This year's Symposium on Major Gifts is designed to do just that – to help you realize you CAN build authentic relationships, show your organization's impact, be the leader your mission needs, and ultimately inspire the transformational gifts that make you and your donors proud.

Now in its 7th year, the Symposium on Major Gifts inspires our profession to think bigger and more boldly about our ability to broker real social change as the stewards of philanthropy. It is a dig-deeper, make-you-think kind of day dedicated to committed development professionals who learn by exploring the best research, gleaning the best lessons from their peers, and engaging in meaningful discussion.
