Location & Parking Information:

This program will be held in the conference room on the 6th floor. Follow the signs when you get to there and if you have any questions, you can go to Suite 600 to check in.

Hourly paid parking available in the Park Place garage. There are several pay lots within walking distance, including the Convention Center garages. Park Place is two blocks from the light rail and located on/near several bus lines.

Program Summary

Join Stephanie Schoo, Director of Marketing for FareStart and Maren Finzer, Development Officer/Marketing and Branding Strategist for a fun and interactive session all about branding! Discover the key components of a strong brand and the crucial role they play in fundraising. You will see examples of brands that work, and how strong brands can convert potential donors into loyal fans.

By the end of the session, you will know what a brand is, why you need one, and how to manage your it. You will learn to identify your personal brand and align it with your organizational brand, and you will learn the #1 brand secret to connecting with your donors, so they happily keep giving more.


Speakers

Stephanie Schoo has more than 20 years of marketing and communications experience at both small and large nonprofit organizations. She joined FareStart in 2016 to lead the organization’s branding, story-telling, communications and marketing efforts. She also volunteers in a variety of capacities for local nonprofits. When not sharing the FareStart story, she enjoys exploring the world, restaurants and live music scene.

 

Maren Finzer has over 25 years of combined organizational branding, personal branding and fundraising experience with profit and nonprofit entities. She believes branding is the key to creating strong relationships to make a bigger impact and loves to teach others how to leverage their brand for success. Maren had been serving at the Millionair Club Charity as Development Officer with responsibilities including major gifts, branding and marketing, and special events, and recently resigned to take a “purposeful pause” for a few months.
